The Association of Hotels of Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas, A.C. issued a statement in which it calls on the parties involved to dialogue to end the blockade that has kept the city collapsed for more than 24 hours and that will undoubtedly continue to affect with greater seriousness this weekend that is a “bridge”.

“The Association of Hotels of Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas, A.C., expresses its respect for the right of free expression and public demonstration, fundamental principles of any democratic society, at the same time we consider it important to underline the need for such expressions to be developed in a way that also safeguards the right to free movement, as well as the daily mobility of residents, collaborators of the tourism sector and visitors who are in our destination.

“Puerto Vallarta is a city whose economy and well-being depend largely on tourism, the effects on mobility generate direct impacts on the experience of visitors, on the operation of hotels and on the image of the destination, with consequences that transcend the sector and reach the entire community. Therefore, we respectfully call on the parties involved so that through dialogue and the corresponding institutional mechanisms, a solution that allows the harmonious coexistence of the rights of all is privileged, guaranteeing both free expression and mobility and the proper functioning of the city.

“We reiterate our willingness to join forces in the area that corresponds to us in favor of the stability, security, and good reputation of Puerto Vallarta as a world-class tourist destination.”
