On the 27th and 28th, the Filma Jalisco 2025 Showcase will be held throughout the state. This project aims to bring cinema closer to audiovisual professionals, film and creative industry students, and, above all, the general public.
From Puerto Vallarta, Alejandro Tavares, director of Filma Jalisco, revealed that the film industry is currently facing a serious distribution problem, which is why they want all Magical Towns to be able to enjoy major productions made in the country.
“There are many films made in Mexico that never reach theaters. So, we needed to hold a showcase to firmly and permanently support the local industry, to follow up on the productions that have benefited from Filma, promoting them beyond traditional distribution routes, and giving worthy recognition to the companies and individuals who keep the local film industry alive and active. This project creates a space that generates unity and strengthens the local industry through necessary dialogues for the sector and specialized training,” he revealed.
In this edition, which aims to continue annually, you can enjoy films such as: The Romantic Barber, Abracadaver, Powerful Victory, Brigade 2045, While Waiting, A Mexican on the Moon, Concert for Other Hands, The Wolves, The Arriera, Corina, The Devil Smokes, and After.
It will be at Cinépolis Centro Magno where residents of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area will be able to see the screenings for free, with tickets purchased through https://filma.jalisco.gob.mx/home
