The Patio Azul Luxury concept hotel became the first hotel in Puerto Vallarta to receive the distinction accrediting it as a member of the Association of Haciendas and Casonas of Jalisco.

The head of the Jalisco Tourism Secretariat (Secturjal), Michelle Fridman Hirsch, emphasized that for more than 25 years, the association has promoted hospitality with identity and heritage preservation.

Located in the Conchas Chinas area, south of Banderas Bay, Patio Azul is “a hotel with history converted into a luxury space that honors the soul of Jalisco.”

For his part, the hotel’s owner, Fernando García de Llano Valenzuela, commented that the space has 18 rooms, a specialty restaurant open to both guests and the public, a pool, a jacuzzi, and a spa.

The Association of Haciendas and Casonas of Jalisco has 41 affiliated hotels in 23 destinations across the state.

Being a member of Haciendas y Casonas de Jalisco means being part of the most recognized association of boutique hotels, where high standards of quality, personalization, and hospitality are certified, explained García de Llano.

“Being part of this network acts as a seal of trust for discerning tourists and increases visibility among premium markets, including cultural, culinary, and high-net-worth travelers,” he added.

Patio Azul’s architecture is inspired by colonial mansions, with patios, fountains, and handcrafted pieces “that convey tradition and luxury boutique style.”

Its interiors, the entrepreneur explained, evoke the legacy of Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and the monarch butterfly.
