The Procession of the Risen Christ will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Today, Guadalajara celebrates Easter Sunday with the Procession of the Risen Christ. The procession will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of Santiago, Teniente Figueroa, Miguel Fluiters, Calle Mayor, Juan Bautista Topete, Plaza Moreno, Cuesta San Miguel, Dr. Ramón y Cajal, and will end at the Co-Cathedral of Santa María.
During the procession, the Encounter between the Virgin and her Risen Son will take place, with the Via Lucis praying. The procession will be accompanied by the Jesús Nazareno Cornetas y Tambores Band and the Drum Group of the Brotherhood of the Passion of the Lord.
At 1:00 p.m., the Solemn Easter Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Julián Ruíz of the Diocese of Sigüenza-Guadalajara. The Novi Cantores Choir will perform during the Mass.
