“Mexico Doesn’t Have a Real Number of Missing Persons”: Segob Acknowledges

In an exclusive interview with La Jornada, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, Secretary of the Interior, acknowledged that Mexico does not have a real number of missing persons.

For this reason, the official explains, she began meetings with groups of family members searching for missing persons to add their voices to the development of a reform on disappearances.

This Monday, Rodríguez held a meeting with representatives of 26 search groups in Jalisco, although she reported that so far 145 groups have registered for upcoming meetings.
