YouTuber Gustarqvo has shared news about the progress of the construction of the LEGEND Tower, the tallest building in Andares and the second tallest in Guadalajara.
This project, designed by the renowned American firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the same people behind the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, in collaboration with Studio Ama, promises to transform the city’s skyline.
Where will the LEGEND Tower be located?
The LEGEND Tower is located on Avenida Empresarios, on land that previously served as a parking lot.
With a planned height of 190 meters, it will become the second tallest building in Guadalajara, surpassed only by the Riu Hotel.
Although there are rumors on social media that speculate a final height of up to 230 meters, official information keeps the figure at 190 meters.
What uses will the spaces of the LEGEND Tower have?
This mixed-use building will combine residential, commercial, temporary accommodation and service spaces.
On its 52 levels, it will include 7,500 square meters of offices, 190 hotel rooms and 178 residential units on the upper floors.
Gustarqvo highlights the architectural structure, which is divided into two main volumes: one dedicated to the hotel and the other to offices and apartments, with commercial premises on the ground floor.
The main material used in the construction will be pigmented reinforced concrete, with a hand-chiseled technique to give texture, similar to that used in the Legacy Tower in Andares.
The façade will have vertical elements that, in addition to their ornamental function, will help mitigate solar incidence and generate shadows inside, a common strategy in bioclimatic architecture. In addition, balconies have been designed in the upper half of the building and various amenities on intermediate levels and roof terraces.
How much will the LEGEND Tower be finished building?
