The Jalisco prosecutor, Luis Joaquín Méndez Ruiz, said that the hypothesis that it was a direct aggression against everyone and perpetrated by a criminal group remains firm

One of the wounded during the massacre perpetrated this Sunday in Tlaquepaque died while receiving medical attention at a city hospital, with which there are already seven people killed: five teenagers and two adults.

It is a 15-year-old minor who after the events was transferred in serious condition to receive medical attention; about the other injured person, a 14-year-old teenager, it was reported that she is still in the hospital and is not in a position to make a formal statement.

Although the state prosecutor’s office follows the trail of an alleged fight between one of the young people killed and people not yet identified in a bar near the site where the events occurred and where all the victims were before, the Jalisco prosecutor, Luis Joaquín Méndez Ruiz, pointed out that so far that version has not been confirmed.

He said that the hypothesis that it was a direct aggression against everyone and perpetrated by a criminal group that has acted similarly in that area of the city in recent days remains firm.

“The version that is maintained is that of a direct aggression, we are going to wait for the analysis and the ballistic response because by giving us positive with some other events that are related to organized crime, we could continue to hold this position; it is definitely a group that performs this type of activities in that area, we already have some data, we will continue working to achieve their detention, “said the prosecutor.

The events to which Méndez Ruiz referred are three other multiple homicides perpetrated in Tlaquepaque during what has been February: the first two cases were registered on February 4, when in different events six people were killed in the San Pedrito and Vistas del Cuatro colonies; the third event occurred on February 6 in the San Pedrito colony, where three people were killed.

Although these events have caused consternation among the inhabitants of the area, the municipal president, Citlalli Amaya, has not spoken out about it.
