Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based street artist, political activist, and film director whose real name and identity remain unconfirmed and the subject of speculation.

The exhibition of Banksy‘s disruptive art arrived this past Wednesday in the capital of Jalisco with an aura of mysticism and rebellion. The artist’s works are varied since in the exhibition you can find engravings, lithographs, sculptures, murals, and even a “ videomapping ” station. However, behind the identity of the author and his work is a true critical spirit.
Satire and pop art merge in the exhibition ” The Art of Banksy: Without Limits” in the Plaza Patria in Guadalajara; from political and military characters to pop culture icons, are reinvented by the artist. Banksy‘s works are very striking since they use different artistic styles, for this reason, it is easy for the viewer to imagine the figures that are portrayed in the way in which the artist conceives them, in addition to the situations that he poses containing a strong political charge. The beautiful and sinister merge in some of his paintings where certain vulnerable sectors of the population as elements for his criticism, in which the forces of social order, high-ranking politicians, and the bureaucracy appear.
This exhibition, which has already visited several countries and which, according to the author himself, is carried out without his consent, will be installed in Guadalajara until November of this year.
The artist, however, does not show up for his exhibition and very little is known about him. This fact has generated interest in the press to the point of generating theories about his possible real identity. Contrary to the interest of the press, the artist’s followers indicate that much of Banksy can be found in his own work since he does not have an objective explanation but leaves all interpretations to the viewer.
