Next Monday will begin the closest thing that we are going to have this year of 2021 to the Fairs and Festivities of Guadalajara understood in the traditional way. In the absence of an official program and events even similar to what was normal for the last time in 2019, the Fairs are reborn with the famous and tiny Playmobil dolls, in a unique exhibition.

It will be at seven in the afternoon on September 6 when these scale Fairs will be inaugurated in the exhibition hall of the Ibercaja Guadalajara Center, on Capitán Arenas 5 street.

The Playmobil® exhibition “The Fairs and Festivities of Guadalajara at the sight of Clicks” aims to recall all those events and most endearing moments of the capital’s big week.

The talent of Javier Gamo

The person in charge of the exhibition is Javier Gamo Ruiz (better known on social networks as Playcapillita), an Alcarreño who has been collecting and customizing Playmobil figures for a decade. Gamo has become a national reference in the field of customization of Playmobil figures, with several exhibitions to its credit in cities such as Seville, Huelva, Madrid, Lérida, Alcalá de Henares and Logroño.

The exhibition, as confirmed by Ibercaja, will feature Playmobil figures and settings «carefully modified and customized, converted into our beloved Alcarreñas and Alcarreños accompanying our Patron, the Virgen de la Antigua, a mini troupe of Giants and Bigheads from our city, a recreation of the traditional running of the bulls, the festivities and excitement of the proclamation of peñas in the Plaza Mayor and even a scene inspired by the old Fairgrounds ».

The exhibition can be visited from September 6 to October 8, Monday to Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (except on September 8, 17, and 18 when the room will be closed).
