THE DEVICE WILL HELP THEM TO EFFICIENTLY AND QUICKLY RESOLVE ISSUES SUCH AS FIRES OR LOST HIKERS

Chapala firefighters are raising funds to purchase a “firefighting” drone, which will allow them to locate places where their work is required, help find lost hikers, and rescue victims.

Chapala firefighters are looking for a drone with high heat resistance, which can travel up to 7.5 kilometers and is equipped with two-way communication and a searchlight. The Technical Institute of the municipality undertook to train Firefighters personnel in the use and operation of the devices.

Until last week, the firefighters collected 9,900 pesos, approximately; however, there is still a lack of resources to reach their goal, so they appeal to the generosity of the people. Donations can be made through the PayPal application, with the user [email protected] or leave a donation at the Manix restaurant in Ajijic, which is located in Ocampo # 57, saying that it is for the “Firefighters”.

Drones have transformed the way fire departments attack fires. They are specially designed, powerful, and with accessories such as cameras, loudspeakers, lights, and a communication system, which will allow the firefighters of Chapala to fight fires, such as the one that occurred last week in Cerro de García.
