Mayor of Puerto Vallarta mourns the death of a waiter who saved a girl.

A waiter died on the afternoon of May 10 after he entered the sea to rescue a girl who was swept away by a wave at the so-called Playa de los Muertos, in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.

According to local media, the man who lost his life after a heroic act was identified as César Guadalupe Chávez Medrano, 48, a neighbor of the Ixtapa delegation.

The events took place in front of the restaurant of the Hotel El Camarón Azul, where, according to witnesses, “the man did not think twice” and set out to rescue the girl “caught” by a wave.

At the site, security elements arrived, the same ones that managed to recover the body of the worker from the Sunset restaurant, but they no longer managed to revive him.

The body of the ” hero waiter ” was transferred to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service, where a legal autopsy was performed to determine the causes of death.
