Padilla López realizes that this year 2020 has been difficult because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but that is not why the festival will be put aside, looking for the mechanisms to be carried out and have the presence of creatives and artists, with all health measures.

For this, a digital platform was designed to be able to see films and conferences about the world of the seventh art that will premiere at the event.

They will have posthumous tributes to all those figures who died during this 2020, such as the case of actor Héctor Suarez and director Jaime Humberto Hermosillo, among others.

The guest country of this edition of the festival will be Peru and on behalf of this nation, the Ambassador of Peru in Mexico, Julio Garro Gálvez, spoke at the press conference, who comments that during this pandemic we must bet on cultural expressions to be able to clear up all this environment.

Peru comes to show Mexico a varied catalog of films, especially some tapes in Peruvian indigenous languages.

Estrella Araiza, director of the festival, commented that several festivals in the country such as Guanajuato, Los cabos, Dolce MX, Ambulante, will provide programs to have productions in person, since the festivals could not make their events possible due to the pandemic.

The director assures that they will follow all the health protocols specified by the Federal and State Government, in order to carry out the festival and that they are sure that by activating the emergency button in Jalisco it could be thought that there will not be a regrowth.
