Cancun airport has become the main entrance to Latin America


Cancun International Airport has become the main gateway to Latin America and even Mexico. Right now, the air terminal has connections to six countries, including two Europeans, and an average of more than 250 daily flights.

The airlines that have recovered operations to Cancun are Air Frace, Alaska, American, Copa, Delta, Frontier, Jet Blue, Lufthansa, Southwest, Spirit, and United. During the process of tourist reactivation of Quintana Roo, the Cancun airport has obtained 12 new routes, three frequency increases, and 23 routes that have resumed flights to the Mexican Caribbean

The Cancun airport has even surpassed that of Mexico City in passenger traffic at this time of pandemic and until the end of August it had already recovered 40 percent of the connectivity it had before the pandemic, as reported by
