Members of the Russian community in Guadalajara and Mexico City denounce the disappearance of a citizen originally from Russia, during a visit to Puerto Vallarta.

It is about Elena Tolstobrova, 36, a resident of Yekaterinburg, who was visiting Vallarta to solve a document about her son and take advantage of a few days off.

Elena together with her son Yury Vadimovich Tolstoborov-Manin left Yekaterinburg to Mexico City, and from there to Puerto Vallarta, the address where they stayed was at Avenida Francisco Medina Ascencio 2477, Las Glorias Hotel Zone, in the Grand Venetian condominiums.

Elena, who is a sales agent, arrived in Mexico on September 2 and stayed in her husband’s apartment.

The apartment where Elena stayed is owned by Vadim Rozhkov-Manin (or Vadim’s parents), who is the father of her son, Yury. Last year they were living separately because they had conflicting relationships.

Elena was never against Vadim living with her son; For this reason, he visited Mexico frequently (in 2019 and 2020 he traveled for periods of more than one month).

Elena’s friends said that Vadim started using drugs and was concerned about this since at this time he was beginning to be very aggressive and threatened to hit her.

During her trip, Elena was in permanent contact with her mother (Bykus Nadezhda Alexandrovna) and her friends.

However, since October 2, 2020 contact with Elena has been lost and her phone is out of service.

Many times her friends tried to talk to Vadim, who gave them conflicting information.

  • At first, he said that he had a fight and sent Elena with her son back to Russia on October 5, 2020.
  • Then he mentioned that Elena stole documents and money, and then ran away.

A very close person Elena who does not want to give her name tells us.

“In recent days we made complaints to the police, the Administration of the Russian Presidency, the Russian Consulate in Mexico and the Mexican Consulate in Russia.

The director of Elena’s office, Andrey Matveychuk, also filed a complaint for her disappearance ”.

The person giving us the information claims that neighbors of Elena’s son’s father told him that they have seen Mr. Vadim at the Grand Venetian condominiums.

Likewise, he also asks citizens that if anyone has any information on Elena’s whereabouts, they come to the facilities of the Puerto Vallarta Prosecutor’s Office

“We ask people to have information or to know where she is to contact us or if it is possible to contact her mother, she is very worried about her and her grandson, thank you very much.”

It is confirmed by relatives and acquaintances that this case is in the hands of the Russian Embassy in Mexico, precisely because of the significance of the disappearance of a young woman of that nationality, in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.

Relatives fear for the physical integrity of the disappeared.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of Elena and her son, please send an email to the following address: [email protected] or to her mother’s number.
