Attention, Guadalajara! Road Closures Expected for the Mexico vs. England Match
The Mexico vs. England match, scheduled for Sunday, July 5, will lead to road closures around La Minerva and downtown Guadalajara due to public celebrations and Fan Festival activities.
Authorities will strengthen security operations to help prevent incidents during the large gatherings that traditionally take place at La Minerva and the Fan Festival.
What Road Closures Will Be in Effect?
According to the Traffic Police Department, the operation will include:
- 80 traffic officers.
- 20 patrol vehicles with two officers each.
- 10 motorcycle patrol units.
- 30 officers on foot.
- Approximately 100 barricades to control access and traffic flow.
Closure Schedule
- 8:00 a.m. – Initial road closures begin due to the Vía RecreActiva.
- 2:00 p.m. – Additional traffic restrictions will be implemented as the security operation expands.

The following intersections will be closed to traffic:
- Agustín Yáñez and Aurelio Aceves.
- Agustín Yáñez and La Paz.
- Vallarta Oriente and Arcos.
- Morelos and Mariano Azuela.
- Mariano Azuela and Justo Sierra.
- López Mateos and Hidalgo.
- Golfo de Cortés and Fernando de Celada.
- Vallarta Poniente and Aurelio Aceves.
- López Mateos and Constelación.
