With cultural, artistic, sporting, and entertainment activities, Vallarta Pride 2026 kicked off in Puerto Vallarta, an event running from May 17 to 24 under the theme “The New Era: A Truly Mexican Pride.”

The activities are concentrated mainly in the Romantic Zone and the Malecón (boardwalk), where some of the most representative events of this international celebration will take place.

Among the main activities are the Pride Parade, the Block Party featuring Fey, the Diversity Gala, Drag Derby, Pet Parade, Pride Games, and the Rainbow Run, among other events geared toward both residents and national and international visitors.

During the official program presentation, organizers and municipal and state authorities participated, led by the Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco, Michelle Fridman Hirsch, who highlighted the economic and tourism impact this event represents for the destination.

“Here in Vallarta, the LGBTQ+ community represents 40% of the economic impact,” the state official emphasized.

Organizers estimate that between 30,000 and 35,000 national and international tourists will arrive during Pride Week, primarily from the United States, Canada, and Colombia.

Vallarta Pride has established itself as one of the most important LGBTQ+ events in Mexico and Latin America, positioning Puerto Vallarta as one of the country’s most recognized inclusive tourist destinations.
