On the afternoon of Thursday, January 29, officers from the State Preventive Police led a surveillance operation in the Magical Town of Ajijic. The operation focused on inspecting vehicles, with particular emphasis on those bearing foreign license plates.
During the stops, officers requested documentation from drivers to prove the legal status of their vehicles in the country. Among the documents requested were temporary permits, proof of legalization processes, and current payment receipts.
It was reported that, in addition to routine inspections, officers issued warnings and citations to owners found to have administrative irregularities, urging them to regularize their situation with the appropriate authorities.
