The Guadalajara municipal government officially inaugurated the 2025 Christmas market season. A total of 28 temporary markets will operate from November until December 24, with the participation of 2,400 vendors.

During the Buen Fin (Black Friday) holiday weekend, these markets saw a massive influx of shoppers. Authorities project approximately 250,000 visitors throughout the season, including people from neighboring states such as Michoacán, Aguascalientes, Nayarit, and Colima.

The largest Christmas markets by capacity are located in Parque El Refugio, San Onofre, El Fresno, and Polanco. The municipal Economic Development Coordinator, David Mendoza, confirmed that each location operates with specific hours established by the city council.

Vendors offer a variety of Christmas items, including natural and artificial trees, moss, nativity scenes, ornaments, lanterns, hay, decorative lights, and inflatable figures. Natural pine trees are among the most popular items.

The selection is complemented by hundreds of additional items for both professional and home Christmas decorating. Products are available at the 28 locations until December 24, the closing date of the Christmas market season.

The municipal government implemented security measures coordinated between the Guadalajara Police and Civil Protection. These operations aim to guarantee the safety of vendors and visitors throughout the holiday season.

Authorities urged everyone to respect the established guidelines at each location. This inter-agency coordination will allow the markets to operate normally while maintaining the necessary security measures at each of the 28 sales points.
