An intense afternoon storm caused severe flooding in several parts of Jalisco, including Guadalajara and Zapopan, on Tuesday, July 15, causing traffic chaos, road closures, and even the rescue of people trapped by the heavy rains.
In the La Martinica neighborhood, a man had to climb a tree to avoid being swept away by the water after a canal overflowed, rendering several streets impassable. The scene was captured on video and quickly went viral due to the severity of the situation.
Road closures throughout the city after the intense storm in Jalisco
The rains left overpasses blocked, avenues collapsed, and areas completely impassable. Some of the most significant closures occurred in:

Av. Patria between Américas and Acueducto: completely closed after the canal overflowed.
In addition, dangerous flooding was reported in areas such as Bugambilias and Puerta de Hierro Sur, further complicating traffic in the city.
Zapopan also collapsed due to rains

Industria Textil and Periférico
Periférico and Pino Suárez
In addition, in the Industrial neighborhood, the intersection of Av. del Valle de San Isidro and Blvd. Bosques de San Isidro became a veritable river. The road was completely blocked.
One of the most tense moments occurred when a vehicle became trapped in the Textile and Construction Industry, forcing rescue personnel to intervene to free the occupants.
