Noche UFC Moved from Guadalajara to San Antonio

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has made a last-minute change to its plans for the upcoming Noche UFC event, originally scheduled to take place in Guadalajara, Mexico.

In a statement released on Saturday, the promotion announced that the Mexican Independence Day celebration had been moved to the Frost Bank Centre in San Antonio on September 13. This decision was prompted by construction delays at Arena Guadalajara, which would have prevented Noche UFC from coinciding with the upcoming pay-per-view card.

The event will still honor the contributions of Mexican fighters and uphold the UFC’s tradition of celebrating Mexican Independence Day. The promotion expressed its commitment to recognizing the significant impact that combat sports have had on Mexico and its people.

Noche UFC made its debut in 2023 during UFC Fight Night: Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. This highly anticipated bout between top women’s flyweights ended in a split draw, leaving fans eager for more.

The event returned last year with UFC 306 at the Sphere in Las Vegas, featuring a bantamweight title fight between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley. Dvalishvili emerged victorious with a unanimous decision win.

Details about the upcoming Noche UFC card are still pending announcement. Fans can stay tuned for more updates on this exciting event as it approaches its new date in San Antonio.
