The 2025 edition of the Mexbest Awards, the most important recognition for excellence in hospitality, gastronomy, and tourism in Mexico, will be held in Guadalajara, Jalisco, from August 19 to 21. This morning, the venue was revealed at an event led by Claudia Cándano, General Director of Mexbest, and Michelle Fridman, Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco.
“Guadalajara is one of those places that has brought the people we want to recognize at Mexbest to the world. They have artists, chefs, specialists in all fields. We think it’s an extra-cool venue. Plus, it was named a Creative City of Gastronomy by UNESCO in 2022. It’s very exciting,” said Cándano. )
For his part, Fridman emphasized: “We are happy, as a new administration, led by Governor Pablo Lemus. We have only been working for five months, but we started with the firm idea of having the best events, and we are doing so in all areas: gastronomy, sports, and lifestyle. For us, having an event like Mexbest is a great start in this first year of administration.”
Mexbest recognizes the most outstanding personalities, places, and projects in the tourism industry in Mexico. Since its inception, it has recognized hotels, restaurants, chefs, mixologists, sustainable experiences, and innovative destinations, consolidating itself as a platform that fosters talent and promotes the growth of the sector.
In previous editions, names such as Elena Reygadas, chosen Best Chef in Mexico by Mexbest before being recognized worldwide, the Pujol restaurant, Hotel Escondido in Oaxaca, and hospitality projects such as Chablé Yucatán and Azulik Tulum, all of them national and international benchmarks, have been recognized.
In past years, the awards have been held in destinations such as Valle de Bravo, San Miguel de Allende, and Mexico City, adding experiences that go beyond a ceremony: tastings, roundtable discussions, pop-ups, and tours that connect attendees with the richness of each venue.
This 2025 edition comes at a key moment for the Mexbest brand, which recently launched its new print edition, with four issues per year. This editorial offering is complemented by a completely revamped website, exclusive experiences, and a social media presence, consolidating a comprehensive platform that celebrates and showcases the best of Mexican tourism.
See you in Guadalajara!
