Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva arrived in Mexico to attend Claudia Sheinbaum’s inauguration, accompanied by his wife, Rosângela da Silva.
Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, president of Brazil, was received this afternoon at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), by Lázaro Cárdenas Batel, who will be the next head of the office of the presidency of the Republic, and by Laura Esquivel, ambassador of Mexico in Brazil.
Accompanied by his wife, Rosângela da Silva, the president of the South American nation began his official visit and attended Claudia Sheinbaum’s inauguration as the first female president of Mexico on Tuesday, October 1.
Lula da Silva is the second president to arrive on national territory; this morning the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, arrived.
Claudia Sheinbaum expressed that she is ready and strong to assume the Presidency of the Republic next Tuesday, October 1.
In the framework of the closing of the Tren Maya project and the presentation of awards to construction engineers in Quintana Roo, she said that Mexico is also ready to continue with the transformation.
“I am ready, I am strong, the people of Mexico are ready to begin the second stage of the 4T of public life in Mexico,” she said.
