Claudia Sheinbaum won the Mexican presidential election on June 2nd and is slated to take office on October 1st.

She has been naming her cabinet officials as part of the transition period.

Claudia Sheinbaum’s most prominent Cabinet Picks:

1. Secretaria de Gobernación   (Secretary of the Interior) Rosa Icela Rodríguez

2. Secretario de Relaciones Exteriores   (Foreign Minister) Juan Ramón de la Fuente

Juan Ramon de la Fuente (pictured right) is the former rector (president) of the UNAM (the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) and a former Mexican representative to the UN.

3. Secretario de Hacienda y Crédito Público, SHCP (Finance Secretary)  

Rogelio Ramírez de la O, is already the current Hacienda Secretary, under President AMLO.

Ramírez de la O has agreed to stay on in the same position with the Sheinbaum administration.
