Civil Protection of Jalisco placed red and purple flags on two beaches due to the appearance of a crocodile in Puerto Vallarta.

The purple flag was placed from El Holly beach (where the crocodile was spotted) to Playa de Oro.

The purple color warns about the presence of wildlife that can be dangerous for people.

While the red flag was placed on all the beaches of the tourist resort, due to the increase of the waves, popularly known as “Mar Picado”.

The placement of both flags implies that it is forbidden to enter the ocean to swim and/or perform recreational activities.
