Jalisco is the state with the highest number of registered candidates with 49, of which 28 are women and 21 men.
However, the Morena State Council in Jalisco has already chosen its four finalist candidates to compete for the gubernatorial candidacy; they are:
Clara Cárdenas, former Welfare delegate in Ciudad Guzmán
Carlos Lomelí, councilor in Guadalajara
José María “Chema” Martínez, Morena deputy
Flor Elizabeth Michel, daughter of the mayor of Puerto Vallarta
It is worth mentioning that Antonio Pérez Garibay, father of the famous Formula One driver Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez and legislator from Morena, also signed up for the registry, but apparently.
