According to a post on Facebook, the plane owned by Volaris with the image of the movie “Barbie” would have landed today, Thursday, July 6, at the Puerto Vallarta International Airport.

The social network account, called “Yo Amo Puerto Vallarta”, was the one who released two photographs this afternoon in which the aircraft can be seen on the runway of an airport. In one of them an employee can be seen posing with her hands up, smiling and happy.

“Barbie’s plane has arrived in #PuertoVallarta”, she reads herself in the post, while dozens of comments accompany the publication that begins to go viral.

Regarding this information, Tribuna de la Bahía consulted the tourist authorities and the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) to find out the veracity of it, who at 10 pm on Thursday confirmed that it was indeed the Volaris plane. , with the “Barbie” logo.

On the occasion of the world premiere of the movie Barbie, Volaris, the ultra-low-cost Mexican airline that operates in Mexico, the United States, Central and South America, and Warner Bros. Pictures designed the fuselage of an airplane inspired by the image of the most world famous doll.

The Barbie plane is an Airbus A320neo model, with capacity for more than 180 passengers, registered with the registration N528VL, which will take travelers to discover -along with the darling Mattel doll- the main beach destinations in Mexico and the most major southern in United States.

In addition to the emblematic fuselage, Volaris and Warner Bros. Pictures Mexico will carry out different dynamics on social networks, where fans can win official items and tickets to attend the premiere and the pink carpet with the film’s stars, on July 6 .

“Beyond what Barbie represents for several generations, this alliance is especially relevant with the plot of the film. Like the airline that was born to democratize the skies, Barbie’s vision has adapted to the demand of a more responsible and demanding for the representation and empowerment of all social groups,” commented Daniel Gelemovich, director of marketing and digital for Volaris.

The Barbie movie is directed by Oscar-nominated writer-director Greta Gerwig, and stars fellow Oscar nominees Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures and will be released in theaters on July 20, 2023.
