TAPALPA, JALISCO.- On Friday, December 16th, local media assured that the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) reported that the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel kidnapped José Isidro Grimaldo, colonel of the unit in Jalisco.

They reiterate that the official was on vacation in the municipality of Tapalpa, where he was deprived of his liberty by members of organized crime.

In addition, they assert that the colonel was resting in a cabin, where he was intercepted. The Sedena presumes that the colonel could have been deprived of his liberty by the regional chief in Tapalpa of the CJNG, who is identified as ‘CR’.

For the moment, an operation has been deployed by elements of the Army to locate Colonel Isidro Grimaldo, as well as the regional leader of the Cartel.

Just yesterday, the coordinator of the Jalisco Security Cabinet, Ricardo Sánchez Beruben, reiterated that the colonel was still missing, denying that his body was located, according to various media.

Likewise, it was presumed that the colonel was deprived of his liberty during his vacation, however, his disappearance is now attributed to the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel, according to the Sedena’s indications.
