Jalisco closes bars and clubs due to the third wave of Covid-19, by orders of Governor Enrique Alfaro.

The restrictions ordered by the local authorities also include the suspension of massive events of more than 300 people, national holidays in September, and October Festivities in Guadalajara.

As well as religious festivities indoors and outdoors, government reports, and festivities around these.

Also festivities with the exception of municipalities that want to request a special permit with low assistance.

The measures were taken due to the increase in cases of coronavirus infections and hospitalizations.

The governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro Ramírez, pointed out that the bars and clubs did not comply with health protocols, and that was one of the reasons for closing them throughout August.

However, instruction was given at the Economic Board to generate an extraordinary resource pool that will support the personnel of these transfers with salaries.

New measures against Covid in Jalisco

The Health authorities not only announced that Jalisco is closing bars and clubs due to the third wave of Covid-19.

It also approved the application of new measures against Covid-19 in Jalisco.

Its purpose will be to guarantee the return to face-to-face classes on August 30.

Among the announced restrictions are, the reduction of capacity in restaurants from 75 to 50%, with closing hours until 00:00 hours; the cancellation of bar and club operations throughout the month of August, and for closed event halls the capacity was reduced from 300 to 150 people, while in open halls from 600 it decreased to 300 people.

The hotel operation maintains the capacity of 80% occupancy, but the capacity in common areas is reduced to 50%.

In stadiums, entry is reduced to 33% of the total capacity with the mandatory use of face masks.

If fans do not wear the mask, that will cause the cancellation of public attendance.

The authorized capacity will be maintained in exhibition venues such as Expo Guadalajara (up to 6 thousand people per day in spaces greater than 10,000 m2), industry, and commerce (small, medium, and large companies) as well as 75% of the capacity of theaters and cinemas.

The results will be analyzed again on August 29, 2021.
