The Governor led the reception of the flight from Phoenix, to La Paz BCS
La Paz, Baja California Sur. “Our capital city strengthens its presence and increases its competitiveness in the US market. Today is the beginning of a new stage for the tourist development of our beautiful port ”, affirmed Governor Carlos Mendoza Davis, when heading the reception of the flight from Phoenix, Arizona, which will have a weekly frequency.
Accompanied by the head of the Ministry of Tourism, Economy, and Sustainability (SETUES), Luis Humberto Araiza López, the governor emphasized that this act is cause for celebration for all Baja Californians since La Paz had not flown to the United States for 14 years.
“The launch of these new flights does not only mean the reconnection of the city of La Paz with the neighboring country; but it also opens the doors to other international markets, as it confirms our quality and tourist capacity, “he said.
In that sense, he recalled that the United States is the main source of tourists to southern California destinations, hence the importance of strengthening air connectivity with this nation, especially he said, at a time when the recovery of BCS tourism potential, It is essential for the economic reactivation of the entity.
“Signs of confidence like the one that brings us together today reaffirms our idea that we are doing well, that we have fulfilled our commitment to tourism, a great generator of employment and opportunities for growth and development. We are already living the best-promised future and we are all going together, I am sure, on the right path ”, added the South Baja Californian Governor.
Mendoza Davis stressed that the flight had all the corresponding biosecurity measures, in order to guarantee the protection of the health of both passengers and those who live in BCS.
At a press conference held at the facilities of the international airport of this capital city, it was also announced that tomorrow, the first flight will also arrive from the city of Dallas, Texas, to La Paz.
Finally, Carlos Mendoza expressed his support for American Airlines and all companies that wish to invest in the State, stating that Baja California Sur is a safe and reliable destination.
