Zacatecas Secretary of Tourism and Uber sign agreement to boost tourism

The Ministry of Tourism of Zacatecas ( Secturz ) announced that in order to strengthen and promote safe so the tourism and local mobility in the capital of the entity, made alliances with various companies like Uber.

Eduardo Yarto, secretary of the agency, pointed out that this type of agreement aims for the driving partners registered in the application to voluntarily provide guidance regarding the different tourist attractions, such as heritage sites declared by Unesco, the history, traditions or gastronomy of the state while traveling.

Similarly, Uber users in Zacatecas will learn about the campaign through different communication channels, as well as within the app, where information and content will be provided.

“This alliance with Uber represents an opportunity to show those who visit us that Zacatecas is a dazzling destination with much to offer, with protocols and safety and hygiene measures in favor of their health. Faced with the current health contingency, ways are always sought to strengthen actions to help the population and offer the best experience to those who decide to visit us ”, explained Eduardo Yarto.

For his part, Miguel Rocha, Uber’s Director of Operations, commented that the company offers a reliable mobility alternative to those who travel and enjoy the city, making technology available to tourists, with all security measures, to be the initial contact between tourists and the places they visit.

He also recalled that during 2019 more than 60 nationalities got to know the city through the platform, the most visited places were Plaza Bicentenario, Fuente de los Faroles and Galerías Zacatecas. While tourists from the United States, Colombia and Brazil are the most recurrent in the capital; and Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara, for domestic travelers.
